Having an experienced event planner can make your next corporate event, non-profit benefit or private party a guaranteed success. Pre-Event Coordination
Creating an innovative event takes planning and preparation. The first step in planning a one of a kind celebration is our pre-event meeting, where your ideas and our experience come together.

We’ll help you think of details you may not have considered and we’ll map out a plan for your event. After our initial meeting, we will:
  • Develop a planning timeline that outlines all deadlines and action items
  • Manage event planning on a daily basis
  • Meet with the client as often as needed to ensure progress
  • Create and maintain an event budget
  • Produce and distribute day of event schedule
Selecting the Ideal Venue
Location is everything. We will research available sites for your event based on your specific requests. Once we’ve identified suitable sites, we’ll visit the locations with you to pin down the venue of choice. We can also visit the venues on your behalf, then provide a breakdown of all the benefits of each option and help you choose the one that best suits your needs.

Choosing the Right Vendors
Whether you’ve selected your vendors already or need a few recommendations, we’re well equipped to bring all the pieces together. We can:
  • Provide vendor referrals for event rentals, catering, floral design, musicians, graphic designers, lighting design and more
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors and the client prior to the event
  • Place and confirm all orders for lighting, generators, security, audio/visual equipment, and other services as needed
  • Review all vendor contracts
Invitations, Programs and Promotional Materials
We’re happy to help with their design and selection – let us find the style and colors that perfectly suit your occasion. We can also advise you of key timelines for mailings and RSVP’s. If your event requires promotional materials, we can work with a graphic designer to help create them, supervise the printing and ensure everything is completed on schedule.

Creating the Perfect Look: Theme, Décor and Floral Design
A cohesive look, theme and color scheme are key parts of a visually stunning event. We can:
  • Develop an innovative and breathtaking design concept for your event
  • Assist in the selection of flowers, centerpieces, linens, lighting, place cards and other event décor
  • Communicate all design aspects to your florist, lighting designer and other vendors
Coordinating with the City or County (if applicable)
Your event may need to meet certain local and state regulations. If your event requires clearance from the city, Lauren Godsil Event Planning will:
  • Consult and work with the appropriate municipal departments to ensure all proper permits and licenses have been obtained
  • Liaison with public health department regarding relevant health codes for event (if food is being served or sold)
  • Serve as on-site contact for all city inspections of event
On the Day of the Event
You need an on-site coordinator to make sure every detail is carefully attended to. We take extraordinary care to keep your event running smoothly from start to finish. You can count on us to:
  • Be the first to arrive and the last to leave
  • Serve as point person for all event coordination and vendors
  • Supervise set up and break down of the entire event
  • Assist with managing volunteers, if needed
  • Manage the event day timeline and handle any last minute occurrences
  • Make certain all sponsorship obligations, such as signage and company booths, are satisfied
